What Is Forex Rebate? A Beginner's Guide

What exactly is a rebate?

When you open a trading account through an introducing broker (IB), the broker shares part of the commission or spread revenue from your trades with the IB. The IB then passes most of it back to you — that is your rebate.

How is it calculated?

Rebates are quoted per standard lot. If your account pays $7 per forex lot and you trade 100 lots in a month, you earn $700 that month. Metals such as gold are usually priced separately.

Three common myths

  • Myth 1: Rebates widen my spreads. Accounts opened through legitimate rebate channels have identical conditions to official ones.
  • Myth 2: Rebates are secret kickbacks. Rebates are a public, globally accepted partnership model.
  • Myth 3: I only earn when I profit. Rebates depend on traded volume, not profit or loss.

How to start

Three steps: register via the rebate provider's link, deposit, and submit your account number to support for binding. Every lot you trade then accumulates rebates automatically.
